34 Years ago, when Audi McBride left Mt. Hope, Ontario and headed west, she had no idea what a crazy and wonderful life she would find in the foothills of southern Alberta!!
Blaming it on fate and great luck, she met and married Professional Steer Wrestler Mark Roy. While enjoying life on the road with her husband, Audi noted that something was missing for the wives of cowboys – unique, classy western wear.
Busy with babies – Bryn born in 1988, and Denver in 1993, and travelling with her husband who was the 1991 & 1992 Canadian Steer Wrestling Champion AND 1992 World Champion Steer Wrestler, Audi chose to wait a few years to bring her dreams to fruition. However, in 1993, Audi decided to fill the western wear void for women, and Classic Rodeo was born.
Initially Audi designed the entire Classic Rodeo clothing line. She could be found at every major trade show and rodeo with ladies lining up for unique western wear. Classic Rodeo was a mainstay for cowgirls and rodeo wives!
As her life evolved, so did Classic Rodeo. With boys deeply involved with football and rodeo, and the manufacturing scene in Canada changing, Audi decided to take Classic Rodeo in another direction. In 2005 she opened a store in Nanton, Alberta amidst the antique shops on Main Street. Here she mixed her own clothing line with other labels to broaden her appeal, and the residents of Nanton have celebrated ever since.
Visitors to the store in Nanton can be guaranteed a crazy, friendly atmosphere. Audi helps ladies put together outfits for all occasions; she hosts ladies nights monthly, and has a laugh or twenty with everyone!!
In 2013, Classic Rodeo Boutique is evolving once again with the launch of our Website. As visitors to our site, you can see that we have a very eclectic nature to our store.
